TMCP First Homeless Shelter
February 2017
We are so excited to announce that one of our shelters, for homeless people, is set to open tomorrow, Thursday, 26th of January 2017. People will be taken off the street to enjoy a cosy, homely shelter. They will enjoy a hot meal and have a relaxing deep sleep. They will also enjoy a hot shower and hot breakfast before going about their day the following morning. Tara Martins Community Project would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took their time to support us with donations towards this shelter. Food, toiletries, beddings and furniture items have been coming in. It has been wonderful to see such love and support in our community! Please do not stop supporting this cause any way you can as we can only sustain the running of the shelter through your unrelenting kindness. To all those who have volunteered painting, decorating, cleaning we say a big thank you. Things are slowly falling into place, new carpets have been laid, walls have been painted and redecorated and things are looking brighter and nicer within the house. The second phase of renovation includes changing the tired doors and single-glazed windows among other things. We are hopeful that with your help we can do this.
